190 applications for ZUKOnnect Fellowships

We have received 190 applications within the latest call for ZUKOnnect Fellowships (application deadline was on 24 February 2021).

After a formal eligibility check, these applications will be open to internal peer-review before they are forwarded to the selection committee. At the beginning of May, the selection process will be finalised and all candidates will be informed by email about the result of their application.

Basically, the fellowships have a duration of three to four months. Since the latest call, the on-site visits are complemented by a digital component extending it to a 12-month ZUKOnnect Fellowship. This means that after a 3-month on campus stay the digital fellowship can be extended up to 9 months.

The ZUKOnnect Fellowships support early career researchers from Africa, Asia and Latin America related to one of the thirteen departments of the University of Konstanz. The research stays at the Zukunftskolleg give the fellows enough time to extend their research networks into new regions, and initiate intercontinental research partnerships. They also enable ZUKOnnect Fellows to enrich the scientific discussions within the university, without losing ties to their home university.
