Mayor of Konstanz visits the Zukunftskolleg
The Mayor of Konstanz, Uli Burchardt, has visited the Zukunftskolleg on 8 November to discuss about "urban and sustainable development".
The Rector of the University of Konstanz, Katharina Holzinger, and the director of the Zukunftskolleg, Giovanni Galizia, welcomed Uli Burchardt.
After a brief statement by Uli Burchardt and a short presentation of the Zukunftskolleg by Giovanni Galizia, three fellows presented their projects: Research Fellow Gruia Badescu on "Research and urban development", Visiting Fellow Tetyana Nikolaychuck on "Post-war sustainable development in Ukraine, and finally Visiting Fellow Yeliena Kovalska presented first results of a survey among refugees from Ukraine which she conducted in cooperation with Caritas Konstanz. Afterwards, the Mayor discussed with all fellows about the situation and perspectives of refugees in Konstanz as well as on the possibilities and challenges of urban development.
