Are you new to teaching or preparing to teach in the near future and would like to professionalize your teaching skills? We are happy to offer you in 2025 the basic course "Ready, Set, Teach – Fit for Teaching: Introduction to Teaching and Learning at University Level for International Teaching Staff". In this course, you will learn the basics of teaching at university, gaining both evidence-based theoretical knowledge and practical tools. You will learn, for instance, how to plan a course and present information, how to engage and motivate students and also how to build good relationships with students and simultaneously protect your own boundaries as an instructor.
It is a blended-learning course, which consists of six live class sessions (all online) as well as self-study phases flexible in time. Both active participation in the six class sessions and the self-study phases are mandatory for a certificate of attendance.
This course is tailored to and reserved for non-German speaking international teaching staff at Baden-Wuerttemberg state universities and PHs (universities of education).
