What to do if an unforeseen professional emergency situation arises and no suitable childcare can be found at short notice?
A member of our professional team of childminders or paediatric nurses will come to your home or look after your children individually at the university. This childcare service is open to all employees and students of the University of Konstanz.
Our carers
Ursula Wassenberg, Silke Vetter, and Gerlinde Wirth are happy to look after your offspring.

Emergency child care is important to me...
...because if you don't have any family nearby, it is very reassuring to know that our sick children are in loving hands.
...because it is important for us professionally to have flexible care or emergency care.
...because I am very busy at work and it is always difficult to find a balance. And because with emergency care I know that the children are well looked after. If it weren't for the emergency care, I would have to build up a network of babysitters.
...because we both work and need care when the children are sick or the day care centre is closed.
...because it allows me to keep professional appointments when no one else can help.
