Maintenance Cleaning
The maintenance cleaning at the university was advertised and assigned as a result-oriented cleaning. Maintenance cleaning involves repeating cleaning services that follow an established schedule.
How often a room is cleaned depends on the typ of room. Below is an overview of the cleaning cycle for the most important rooms at the university. It is possible to ascertain the specific days that cleaning services are to be carried out.
- Office: To be cleaned every second week in an even calendar week.
- Library Information Centre: cleaned daily Mon-Fri
- Library sections: cleaned twice a week
- Social room with kitchen counter: cleaned daily
- Social room without kitchen counter: cleaned weekly
- Tea kitchen: cleaned daily
- Washrooms: cleaned daily
- Hallway: daily, weekly, twice weekly depending on the degree of use. The exact cycle can be found in the cleaning schedule
- Dressing room: Sports hall and TFA daily, other buildings on a weekly basis
- Stairs: daily, weekly, twice weekly depending on the degree of use. The exact cycle can be found in the cleaning schedule
- Laboratory: cleaned weekly
- Lecture hall, seminar room: cleaned daily
Special cleaning - Thorough cleaning
Thorough cleanings are generally carried out when there is a special need for them or after longer time intervals. A request must be submitted for these cleanings.
Extensive soiling and / or worn protective films or other residues that impair the appearance of the surface are removed.
Once cleaned, the surfaces should be free of extensive soiling or worn protective films or other residues; surface should be streak- and stain-free, insofar as the state of technology permits.
Glass cleaning
The cleaning of exterior window surfaces usually occurs once a year between April and November. It is carried out one building at a time. Building inhabitants are notified prior to cleaning.
The cleaning of interior window surfaces (skylights) must be requested. Glas walls in the building interior are cleanded once a year.
The cleaning of glass doors and vestibules occurs regularly.
