The staff unit Quality Management (QM) carries out requested evaluations for the decision makers at the university (Rectorate, faculties, departments, and other facilities). Evaluation requirements must be reported to the QM staff department in good time. In order to properly prepare an evaluation project, it usually takes six months to get started. It is up to the Rectorate to check whether the staff is available to carry out the evaluation. The evaluations are based on the quality standards of the Deutschen Gesellschaft für Evaluation (German Evaluation Society).
Furthermore, Quality Management supports the coordination of external auditing processes that evaluate whether or not the demands, guidelines, and processes fulfil the required standards.
