Architecture competition started
The planning competition for the Forum Konstanz was launched on 23 February 2022 with the sending of the announcement and the provision of all documents on the Baden-Württemberg award platform.
Architectural firms now have until 25 March to apply to participate. After that, a selection committee consisting of representatives of the Ministry of Finance Baden-Württemberg and Vermögen und Bau Baden-Württemberg will review the entries based on the selection criteria and select the 25 best participants. These will be invited to participate.
In May, June and July, the participating offices will be able to design their competition entries, and August is planned for the preliminary examination of the competition entries. Finally, on 30 September 2022, the jury, consisting of external experts, representatives of the Ministry of Science and Finance and Vermögen und Bau Baden-Württemberg, as well as the City of Constance and the University of Constance, will select the winners of the competition. Afterwards, the designs will be publicly exhibited in the University Sports Hall.
The planning phase for the Forum Konstanz will begin following the competition after the contract has been awarded. Construction is scheduled to begin in 2025 after the planning phase has been completed.
