Petra Rogge studied philosophy, education and German philology. She completed her PhD at the German Sport University Cologne (DSHS) on social pulse. She works as a free-lance philosopher, in socio-pedagogical family assistance, and as an ethics lecturer in the fields of medicine, sport and social work at various universities. Her theoretical and practical philosophical engagement revolves around questions of civil and mutually appreciative practices for the public and private spaces of a pluralistic society. She focusses on communal sense with regards to interpersonal situations that require discretion, and the "Mit-Spieler" (fellow-players), i.e., "Mit-Menschen" (fellow-humans) in the sense of Helmuth Plessner, who, in concrete contact, always get involved with each other on a physical level too.
In the Communal Sense team, she is responsible for coordination together with Caroline Böhme. She is also a project partner in "Communal Sense in Sport".
