Applying for jobs abroad

Launch your international career.

Do you want to pursue a career abroad? If you are applying for a job or internship abroad, you should bear in mind that each country has its own application formalities. This also applies within the EU, as the Europass CV has not yet become established in many regions. We have put together a few informative links for some countries on this page. Of course, we cannot cover the entire globe. So here are a few tips for your own research:
- In some countries, you can find information on application formalities on the official websites of the state authorities or governments (e.g. in New Zealand or Denmark).
- The career services of universities in your destination country are also a good source of information (e.g. Career Services at Utrecht University, Netherlands or University College Cork, Ireland).
- There are expat forums on the internet for many typical emigration countries, where users can also exchange information on job hunting.
Depending on the country, you may also need a work permit. Information can also be found on the websites of the respective foreign missions and immigration authorities.
