Multiplier for education for sustainable development

Do you want to bring sustainability into teaching from a student perspective? Become an ESD multiplier!

  • Has the topic of sustainability been almost neglected in your degree programme so far?
  • Would you like sustainability to be discussed more often in the courses on your degree programme?
  • Do you want your degree programme to help you to contribute competently and actively to a sustainable transformation?
  • Do you enjoy designing learning settings yourself and creatively and trying out new things?
  • Would you like to work together with lecturers on courses and thereby strengthen Education for Sustainable Development (ESD) at the University of Konstanz?

Become an ESD multiplier and support lecturers in integrating sustainability into a course on your own degree programme!

ESD multiplier training as a course credit

The two-semester ESD multiplier training course comprises a total of 6 ECTS credits and can be recognised as an SQ course in the compulsory elective modules of many degree programmes, for the sustainability certificate qualification N and in the "Praxis Lehramt" module.

The course consists of a block seminar, which will take place in the winter semester 2024/2025 from 17-21 February 2025, and an individual practical phase in the following summer semester 2025.

In the block seminar, you will learn about the basics of sustainability and education for sustainable development, deal with various didactic concepts and try out teaching methods together with other participants. The block seminar will be held by ESD expert and trainer Yvonne Engle from LernFutur.

In the practical phase, you will support a teacher in a course in your subject or a related subject in integrating sustainability into teaching. This can include counselling, joint brainstorming and experimentation or targeted co-teaching as well as the implementation of your own student ESD unit. At the end, there will be a reflection on the practical phase and a presentation of what you have developed and implemented during the practical phase. During the practical phase, you will be supervised and supported by Barbara Ette, the coordinator for teaching in the area of sustainability.

Further information on the course and the opportunity to enrol can be found directly in ZEuS.
