Widerstandstheorien
in der Russischen Kultur der 1960er – 1970er Jahre in der Sowjetunion

Die
Dissertation wird einen anderen Blick auf die Problematik des Widerstands
anbieten als die gängige Auffassung, die Widerstand als eine politisch-soziologische
Kategorie begreift, welche sich hauptsächlich in der Dissidentenbewegung
äußerte.
Die Arbeit ist literaturwissenschaftlich und historisch orientiert und
widmet sich der Formierung (Mitte der 1950er bis Mitte der 1960er Jahre)
und der Konsolidierung (1970er Jahre) der inoffiziellen russischen (Underground-)
Literatur, der Spaltung der russischen Kultur und der Entstehung modifizierter
Kulturlandschaften. Die Aufmerksamkeit wird vornehmlich der Kommunikation
zwischen diesen ausdifferenzierenden literarischen Szenen sowie der unscharfen
Grenze zwischen ihnen gelten. Die Konstituierung dieser Grenze (z.B. durch
Chruscevs Besuch der Ausstellung Abstrakter Kunst, 1962, oder durch das
Treffen Chruscevs mit der künstlerischen Intelligenz in Kreml, 1963),
ihre Festlegung (z.B. in der Kampagne gegen Boris Pasternak, 1958) oder
ihre Bewachung (z.B. im Prozessen gegen Josif Brodskij, 1963, gegen Sinjavskij
und Daniel, 1966) werden auf der Basis zeitgenössischer Dokumente
analysiert.
Während die stalinistische Kultur auf einem Kult des „Vaters“
und „Lehrers“ (des großes Stalin) gegründet war,
findet in der post-stalinistischen Kultur eine Neubearbeitung des „Vatersmythos“
statt; es taucht wieder das anthropologische Model einer Rivalität
zwischen „Vätern“ und „Söhnen“ auf.
Die Dissertation beschäftigt sich mit dem Widerstand als einem anthropologischen
und kulturellen Phänomen unter den spezifischen Bedingungen der sowjetischen
Kultur der 60er und 70er Jahre.

Soviet Union

Abstract
It is the objective of the present thesis to offer an alternative perspective
onto theories of resistance in the context of the Russian/Soviet cultural
production. ‘Resistance’ is not applied as a category of political
and/or social analysis centering on the dissent movement and resistance
against the Soviet ideology.
Rather, my project is concerned with ‘resistance’ as a category
of literary and historical research, while the focus lies with the phases
of formation (from the mid 1950s to mid 1960s) and consolidation (1970s)
of the unofficial (underground) Russian literature, and with the new stratification
of the relationship between the official and unofficial literature(s).
Specifically, attention will be paid to communication between these two
literary scenes, as well as to the border that started to evolve between
them. The process of constitution and development of this imaginary border
will be followed on documents that include e.g. stenography transcripts,
newspaper articles etc. For instance, accounts of Chruscov’s visit
to the abstract painting exhibition in Manezh in 1962, as well as his
meetings with representatives of cultural and literary scene in Kremlin
in 1962 and in 1963 seem to document a moment of evolution of such a border;
the campaign against Pasternak in 1958 its fixation, while Sinjavski and
Daniel’s legal trial in 1966 reveal an attempt to preserve this
line of division.
The Stalinist culture was based on the cult of ”the Father”,
”the Teacher”. The project wants to uncover the course of
redefinition of this model as it proceeded in the late 1950s and 1960s.
The anthropological model of rivalry between ”Fathers” and
”Sons” will be used to analyze the relationship between the
two literary spheres, i.e. the official and unofficial literature.
The dissertation project offers a wider view of the problematic of resistance
as an anthropological and cultural phenomenon. Further it considers its
specific features within the context of the Russian culture of the 60s
and 70s under the Soviet Union.
