Our “Professur am See” (professorship by the lake) programme consists of the following three matching modules: Welcome and services, Continuing education and Coaching. This service is free of charge for the first two years after your appointment. You may book one or several offers independently of each other.

Welcome and services
The programmes kicks off with a welcome talk . We will be delighted to answer your questions, hand out an information folder and introduce the information resources, services and continuing education opportunities available to newly appointed professors.
At the core of the module is the reception for newly appointed professors hosted by the rector. The rector of the University of Konstanz would like to extend a warm invitation to all newly appointed professors to join him for a panel discussion on the topic of leadership, management and supervision at the university, which is followed by a dinner reception.

Individually tailored and time-efficient personal training options are available to you through our partnership with university sports to help you achieve work-life balance.
Coaching
One-on-one coaching and personal teaching advice
You are eligible to book in-house coaching sessions e.g. on teaching matters (designing virtual learning scenarios,educational development or semester planning). We can recommend external coaches with expertise in staff selection, leadership or similar topics.

Continuing education
Our programme for professors includes various workshops and lunchtime events on topics such as leadership, management, supervision and teaching, devising study programmes and e-learning.

Teamdevelopment for your working group
In order to make it easier for working groups at the University of Konstanz to get off to a good start or to grow together and to promote productive cooperation, our team developers are at your disposal. They support you in clarifying processes and responsibilities, optimising communication structures and establishing a positive culture of cooperation so that synergies are optimally utilised and frictional losses are minimised.
