4. The purpose of data processing and consequences of not providing your personal data
A registration via the corresponding form is required so we can adequately plan and prepare the course. We need a valid email address in case the organizer of the course has to contact you to give you important information about the course.
In case you do not give your consent, you can not participate in the course. You will not suffer any disadvantages for not participating. In certain cases, participating without registration is possible.
To participate in the UCarLi - Ukraine UniKN Career Link Programme, you need to register using the relevant contact form. Your data will be stored at the Career Service. Interested students can view the following data during the Career Service office hours (if specified):
- Field of study/subjects
- Current professional position
- Employer
- Other professional experience
- What information/topics can be discussed
Your details will not be made public. Your name and email address will only be shared with students once you have given your permission. This permission will be obtained by the Career Service by mail before each matching.
5. Legal basis
Article 6 para. 1 lit. e in connection with Article 6 para. 3 of the EU's General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) in connection with § 13 para. 1 of the “Landeshochschulgesetz Baden-Württemberg” (state law on higher education).
6. Recipients
Career Service, career.service@uni-konstanz.de including current staff members of the Career Service.
7. Storage duration
Data are stored up to a maximum of three months after the end of the course.
8. Your rights
In accordance with Article 15 GDPR, you have the right to request information from the University of Konstanz about any data it stores that is related to your person and/or to have incorrect data corrected as per Article 16 GDPR.
Data stored for participation in UCarLi can be deleted at any time upon request. Should the programme be discontinued, the data will be deleted immediately, but no later than 3 months after the end of the programme.
You also have the right to demand that your data be deleted (Article 17 GDPR) or that the processing and use thereof be restricted (Article 18 GDPR), as well as to object to the processing and use of your data (Article 21 GDPR).
You have the right to withdraw your consent to the processing of data at any time, without affecting the lawfulness of processing since consent had been provided before its withdrawal (Article 13 GDPR).

You also have the right to file a complaint with the regulating authority if you believe that the processing and use of your personal data is in violation of the law (Article 77 GDPR).
