New head of the department

Professor Dr. Clemens Bechinger has been a professor at the University of Konstanz's Department of Physics since 2017. He received his doctorate from the University of Konstanz in 1993 and habilitated in experimental physics there in 1999. His research focuses on soft condensed matter, in particular colloidal systems and their phase transitions, as well as on active particles and dynamic processes far from thermodynamic equilibrium. Studentisches für KW 42 / 2024

Studentisches für die Woche 14.10.-18.10.2024:

In dieser Woche findet am Mittwoch, 16.10.2024, in der Zeit 15:15-17:00 Uhr im Raum C 336 die Zweitklausur "Theoretische Grundlagen der Informatik" statt. Treffzeitpunkt für die Klausur ist 15:00 Uhr im C 336. 

Ebenso findet am Donnerstag, 17.10.2024, in der Zeit 10:15-11:45 Uhr im Raum ZT 702 die Zweitklausur "Quantenalgorithmik" statt.

Das TransferRad nimmt Fahrt auf

Das TransferRad ist ein neues Angebot, um Hochschulprojekte in der Region zu präsentieren. Der multifunktionale Fahrradanhänger ist vieles in einem: ein mobiler Marktstand, Rednerbühne, Workshopraum, Ausstellungsfläche – und Solarkraftwerk. Die Idee dahinter: Transfer-Aktionen auch zu Orten außerhalb von Hochschulen zu bringen, nachhaltig und flexibel.

Sustainable Sport Symposium

From 29 September to 1 October 2024, the 2nd Sustainable Sport Symposium took place in Heidelberg, Germany. The Chair of Social and Health Sciences was represented by Nils Jakubzig, who contributed a presentation titled "raus! Experiencing Climate Action together through play. The latest "Open Edition" Leiden Ranking was recently published based entirely on freely accessible data. As in the regular edition, the University of Konstanz ranked first in the two categories "Open Access" and "International Collaboration". Konstanz reaches new heights among Germany's top ten universities in the category "Scientific Impact".
