Jun.-Prof. Jan Vogler has published an article in the U.S. daily Politico on the democratizing effect of the black plague in the Middle Ages together with Prof. Daniel W. Gingerich from the University of Virgina. In the article, the authors examine the effect of stronger bargaining power of workers during a pandemic. The article can be found online here.
