Workshop with Stefanie Everke Buchanan: "Writing your Final Thesis"

On November 23, 1.30-3 p.m., Stefanie Everke Buchanan from the writing centre will offer a workshop on writing your final thesis (BA, MA, PhD level). Topics of the session will be: finding a research question, structuring your paper, managing your time and using feedback to sharpen your focus. You will be working on your own topics and ideas as well as give and receive feedback on those of others.

Critical Criminologists Year Award for Valeria Vegh Weis

We congratulate Valeria Vegh Weis (Research Fellow / Dept. of Literature & Law) who has been selected as the “Division on Critical Criminology & Social Justice Critical Criminologist of the Year 2021” by the American Society of Criminology.

New group article in Phys. Rev. Mater.

Our group has successfully led another international collaboration and published a new manuscript showing that chiral molecules (ChMs) can radically change the macroscopic Meissner state of a conventional (Nb) superconductor, once adsorbed onto its surface. The results published in Physical Review Materials pave the way for the realisation of superconducting devices, where the magnetic flux coupled through a S is changed locally via adsorbed ChMs.

Lecture series and seminar "A matter of teamwork", winter semester 2021/2022

"A Matter of Teamwork: Interdisciplinary Approaches to Works of Art" is comprised of a public lecture series and seminars held at University of Konstanz/TH Köln and TU Berlin in the winter semester 2021/2022. In the lectures, interdisciplinary teams of experts will discuss recent case studies in art history and conservation and shed light on collaborative approaches: their genesis, benefits, and challenges.
