The goal of the prestigious scholarship, was to strengthen the critical relationship between the U.S. and the U.K. for “the good of mankind in this turbulent world.” Garfield cites research mentor Jana Isanta-Navarro (University of Konstanz, Germany), among others, for guiding her along her current academic path. Her mentors helped her to find her place in science and to find a way to contribute to things that are imortant to Claire Garflied.
