Hanno Kruse is the winner of the first AS Dissertation Award

For the first time, the AS gives an award to an outstanding dissertation in empirical-analytical sociology. Hanno Kruse's submission "Close Neighbors, Separate Lives. An Investigation of Residential Barriers and Bridges to the Social Integration of Young Immigrants in Germany" convinced the committee. He will receive his award and present his work at our conference.

Two ERC Starting Grants for the University of Konstanz

Dr Damien Farine, a principal investigator from the Cluster of Excellence “Centre for the Advanced Study of Collective Behaviour” at the University of Konstanz, and Professor George Walkden, Professor of English Linguistics and General Linguistics at the university’s Department of Linguistics, have both been awarded a prestigious ERC Starting Grant.
