Marcel's first paper encompassing the research in his first six months as a PhD student appeared this week in Inorganic Chemistry!

Explore the intriguing properties of dye-modified pincer complexes in our latest study. We synthesized and characterized four (NCN)Bi complexes with mercaptocoumarin and mercaptopyrene ligands, examining their photophysical behaviors using various spectroscopy techniques and theoretical calculations. Discover how these complexes exhibit a range of emissions from green phosphorescence to red and blue fluorescence, influenced by temperature, concentration, and excitation wavelength. Our findings provide new insights into the phenomenon of aggregation-induced intersystem crossing. The full article is open access and may be found here
