"Youth for Research" in the school laboratory of the chemistry department
Various prizes for pupils whose research was supported by the department's school laboratory
Felix Hauswald and Felix Romer from Heinrich-Suso-Gymnasium, Constance, won the "Youth for Research" regional competition in South Württemberg on February 7, 2020 with their project "The Blackberry Indicator - A Everyday Substitute for a Phenolphthalein Solution" in the category Chemistry. They were also awarded with the special prize "Environmental Technology by the German Federal Environmental Foundation". They carried out their scientific measurements with the support of their teacher David Jansen, of Prof. Dr. Ulrich Steiner, the Department of Chemistry, and our school laboratory.
Helen Hauck from the Nellenburg-Gymnasium, Stockach also won 1st place in the chemistry category at the "Youth for Research" regional competition in Donau / Hegau on February 14, 2020 with her project "European Union Border - The Biochemical Weapon Against the European Boxwood". She carried out her scientific investigations, among others, in our school laboratory.
We warmly congratulate the three on their success and keep our fingers crossed for them in the Baden-Württemberg state competition in March!
