Big Data for Social Change
Information is known as the key element to understand and analyze issues, also to develop aspects in life. The big data, as the result of Information and Communication Technology development, provides us with real-time and abundant information to analyze issues and explore solutions to narrow down the existing gaps within societies. Having such large amount of data enable us to maintain a good understanding of the status quo and estimating future outcomes. In general, big data is indispensable for human beings to achieve sustainable development in this information era. Our panelists, big data specialists from different organizations, will share with us their personal working and research experience so that we could have a comprehensive understanding towards the general situation of the utilization of Big Data, its contribution to the SDGs and the vision for the future development. Meanwhile, they will also elaborate on their concerns offering us a special perspective regarding this powerful instrument.
