One year anniversary of PAGOSTE
Dear readers, today our project celebrates its first year of implementation and we are glad to share with you a short summary of what happened during this project year
One year ago (on 15 January 2020) the Erasmus+ project PAGOSTE started. It is a relatively short period of time, however, we can be proud of the achieved results for this period. Despite numerous external challenges our project consortium has faced this year, we have managed to adapt, turn them into opportunities and embrace the changes.
We would like to present a short summary of our project implementation for the first year according to each work package.
Work Package 1: Analysis of governance of vocational teacher education
All planned deliverables were produced, most of them are in two languages. The unplanned deliverable, the report on the Implementation of the Self-competences and Convictions’ Perception Questionnaire (QPCC) to VET teachers in Ukraine enriched the data and the conclusions of the need analysis. The planned activities except for the first kick-off workshop were converted into online events.
Work Package 2: Elaboration and implementation of PBG
Ukrainian partner-HEIs have started to work on the concepts how to cooperate with vocational schools and other stakeholders in the most beneficial way so the relevance and quality of vocational teacher training at their HEIs increase and new opportunities for the in-service teacher training are opened. The starting point is the institutional reports on the need analysis and the structural report. The second project workshop was organised online. The next nearest event is the round table (scheduled for March). Ukrainian partner-HEIs and the coordinating institution have started the cumbersome process of the equipment purchase.
Work Package 3: Content input from European partners on PBG
The first two staff trainings were organised online in November-December 2020. Though the online format will hardly be able to substitute the live events, it has one enormous advantage – it allows expanding the geography. Thus, VET teachers, HEI academic staff and stakeholders from all over Ukraine took part in the staff trainings and received their certificates.
Work Package 4: Setting up PBG mechanisms for the national level
The development of the online platform has started under the leadership of the Institute of Vocational Education and Training in close cooperation with all Ukrainian partners and contribution from the European partners. The structure and preliminary design are going to be presented with during the coming project meetings and an official presentation to the target groups is planned for the round table in March.
Work Package 5: Quality assurance of the project
The quality assurance strategy and the necessary evaluation instruments have been developed. The produced deliverables were peer-reviewed by the project partners according to the quality assurance mechanisms. The first results of event evaluations are on the way. The project partners have also submitted their work progress reports for the first year, which helped them to reflect the project implementation, their achievements, obligations to fulfil and problems to tackle.
Ukrainian partners successfully participated in the preventive field monitoring, which was performed by the National Erasmus+ Office in Ukraine, and obtained positive feedback.
Work Package 6: Project dissemination plan and exploitation of results
The dissemination strategy has been developed. Based on it, each Ukrainian partner-HEI created its own dissemination plan for three years. Kyiv National Economic University supervises the implementation of the dissemination plans in Ukraine and leads the work package. All news, updates and deliverables are uploaded to the project website and disseminated on the official Facebook page PAGOSTE. The first newsletters have been produced in two languages and disseminated among target groups.
Thanks to all project partners for their contirbutions and commitment and to all readers who are following our project.
