Promotion of first-time academics
The Department for Equal Opportunity, Family Support and Diversity is developing programs within the framework of the Excellence Strategy and the and the Equal Opportunity Plan, to increase diversity among the academics.
We would therefore like to inform you about our support for young scientists in special life situations. As target group are enrolled and/or employed doctoral students,
postdocs, junior research group leaders or junior professors, as well as scholarship holders.
The Diversity Mentoring. For Diversity in Science. Support program For Diversity in Science. Support Program for Young Scientists is a one-year program in which professional and/or personal support is offered to researchers in special situations, with disadvantages or experiences of discrimination are to be pursued.
Currently, our special focus is on the support of first generation scientists and we already have an extensive pool of potential mentors from the potential mentors from the University of Konstanz. Especially first-time PhD students are invited to participate in the program.
