Seminar: Climate Change – The Governance Challenge
20 – 22 Nov 2019, 13.30 – 16.45, C425; Franz Baumann, PhD (Ottawa) and alumnus of the University of Konstanz (Economy) will held an extracurricular seminar on climate change and its challenging aspects in legal, political and economical regards toward international governance and i.e. the United Nations framework. The seminar will be held in English.
Mr Baumann is currently visiting research professor at New York University and former Assistant Secretary-General to the U.N., United Nations Special Adviser on Environment and Peace Operations.
The course will be credited with 3 ECTS points for Erasmus/LL.M. students; corresponding examination will be a written multiple choice test.
Law students sekkeing the First State exam will be given a certificate according to § 9 Abs. 1 Nr. 1 JAPrO („Fremdsprachennachweis“).
No registration needed. You are kindly asked to communicate your participation in advance by e-mail to daniel.werner@uni.kn, indicating your matriculation number and course fo study for logistic purposes.
Mr Baumann kindly asks participants to study given document in advance, and especially the given literature. This ist to ensure an effective discussion within this seminar.
