Successful ORCID campaign
In the last few months, the KIM has recorded over 200 new ORCID iDs from members of the University of Konstanz!
The KIM launched a successful ORCID campaign in May. ORCID (Open Researcher and Contributor ID) is an identifier that can be used to uniquely identify researchers. This helps to prevent problems such as name and institution changes and confusion with colleagues of the same name.
The aim of the campaign was to increase both the number of ORCID iDs held by members of the University of Konstanz and the connections between the ORCID profiles and KOPS, the University of Konstanz's institutional repository. To illustrate the advantages of the persistent identifier, flyers and posters with the most important benefits of an ORCID iD were distributed widely. The campaign was rounded off with information posts on social media during Open Access Week 2023 and events in form of coffee lectures on ORCID and the two institutional repositories KOPS and KonDATA.
If you don’t have an ORCID iD yet, you can still register here and link it to your KOPS profile.
